I've finished the new Nightrunner book "Casket of Souls" yesterday and I really liked it a lot.

I am fine and well and immensely enjoying my time. The concerts were great! KAT-TUN are the best!!! :D
We are still in Nagoya and planing to go to the Johnny's shop. Tomorrow we will be off to Nagano.
I am sorry that I haven't posted before. But time with internet access is really short.

Watching Sherlock 2.01 on the big screen at the cinema was very nice! there was a TV Festival at a local cinema and so I went there with a few friends. Very nice evening.
I hadn't watched the episode again yet so that was an added bonus for me.
I also read the latest installment of Naomi Novik's Temeraire series "Crucible of Gold" and I enjoyed it very much. I liked it better than the last book. The Incan dragons were interesting and can't wait for the next one.

I had a major breakthrough in my ancestry search today! :D My mum found the old family bible that her father's parents got for their marriage in 1905. With lots of data about family members. Now I have the complete birth and death dates of my great grandparents, and partly for some of my great great grandparents and even some names of great great great grandparents. \O/
I also wrote to the city archive in Emden to get death records.
And I got a place at the workshop on March 31st. :D

Risou no Musuko is a lot funnier than I thought from the premise. Been a while since a comedic jdrama amused instead of annoyed me.
Have ticket for the first Nagano concert now! Yeah! But wow they are expensive. Still needing one for the second day, but hopefully having that soon as well. I also booked a hotel in Nagano, and looked up some touristy stuff to do on the weekend before the concert there.
I also decided to not go to Nagoya because it gets too expensive with concert tickets, hotel and train fare. :((((
I wanted to post London pics and reports over the weekend but had such an evil migraine. :( Hopefully next weekend then. If anyone is still interested. It was a great trip though!
Recently read The Diamond Queen. Good read. The British Monarchy, past and present, fascinates me. I also watched the first episode of the BBC documentary by the same author.
Read a few Merlin fics recently, Modern Royal AU is my absolute favorite one.

All the presents are wrapped, the tree is decorated and it is almost time to go to church. After that we will spent Christmas Eve with my sister and family.
I brought my eldest nephew a kilt in Glasgow and he already tried it, but I haven't seen it yet. :)

So was that only the first epic battle between JE and AKB? :D AKB sub-unit Not Yet and newly debuted Johnny's group Sexy Zone battling for the weekly number 1 spot on the oricon charts. Not Yet seemed to have it in the bag after the first day but JE came back with three(?) handshake event, the last one even involving Kisumai. I found it very exiting. I love debuts and I think the new group is cute. And I really wish people would stop complaining about the name. It is getting old.
Curious what will happen next week when KAT-TUN is up against Tohoshinki and another AKB sub unit. Unfortunately I am a lot more emotionally invested in that. :( But I am curious if JE will do something special to protect KAT-TUN's number 1 streak. They only others streak they have are Kinki Kinds and of course that one will be very much protected, NEWS and HSJ. Not sure about NEWS though since their sales will certainly suffer from Pi and Ryo's departure. And with so many AKB singles and sub-units and also JE groups it's getting harder choosing the right release week.
I am still thoroughly enjoying YNB. Still waiting for episode 5 subs to really enjoy it but even without it was great. And I am happy that it's keeping up the good ratings.
What did happen to Nankyoku Tairiku? Episode 5 suffered from a serious rating dip and even before that it just went down and down. And the last one suddenly had fairly high ratings again. Strange. I haven't watched more than the first episode yet but I did like it.
I found all the posts about the OTW very interesting. It definitely made more more interested in it. As a consequence I became a member (so I can vote next year) and also made a fanlore account. I know I could contribute there as JE is fairly empty yet and the same is true for the German part of the BATB fandom. Starting isn't easy though. We'll have to see.

I am so sad.
Last Thursday his family and friends and the filk community lost a great human being. Keris, we will miss you! Rest in peace. It was much too soon.
I can't really believe it and not seeing him behind the tech table at the next con ...

I am kind of still in the wrong time zone for the con. LOL. Wake up too early and are sleepy in the evening. We'll have to see how that works over the weekend. Two days ago I even slept through a phone call from my parents. And the phone stands next to my bed. But then I sleep through earthquakes. :D
I don't know why people are surprised about the Johnny's Volleyball debut. It happens every four years and they never used established groups. The name is lolworthy though. But then that's not exactly news either. The 11 year old is from Germany. O_O
